Privacy Policy
Minda is a reminder app. This explains exactly what it stores, what leaves your phone, and what you can do about it.

The short version
- Your reminders live on your phone. Minda works fully offline and never needs an account.
- There are no ads and no ad tracking. No advertising ID, no ad network, no third-party tracking or analytics SDK of any kind.
- We never see what you write. Reminder titles, notes and labels are not readable by us unless you choose to sign in for backup.
- Minda asks for one thing: permission to notify you.
- You can delete everything, from inside the app or without it.
What stays on your phone
Everything, by default. Your reminders, notes, labels, history and settings are stored on the device. Signed out, Minda sends none of it to us — the code that syncs is switched off entirely rather than merely idle.
What leaves your phone, and when
If you sign in (optional)
Signing in exists for one reason: so you can get your reminders back on a new phone. While signed in, Minda uploads your reminder records to our database so they can be restored later.
Those records include what you wrote — titles, notes, labels and dates. We are not going to pretend otherwise: a backup that did not contain your reminders would not be a backup. They are stored so your account can read them back, and we do not use them for anything else, sell them, or show them to anyone.
Sign in with Google, or with a code sent to your email address. Either way it is one account, and you can delete it at any time.
Android's own backup (on by default, and not ours)
Android backs up app data to your own Google Drive, and Minda allows it, so a new phone can restore your reminders even if you never signed in. This copy goes to your Google account, not to us — we cannot read it. You can switch it off in Android's Settings → Google → Backup.
It is mentioned here because it is the one thing that would make "nothing ever leaves your phone" untrue, and that sentence appears nowhere in this policy for exactly that reason.
Anonymous usage counts
Minda records a few plain events — the app was opened, a reminder was created, onboarding finished — so we can tell whether the app is working for people. These are sent whether or not you have an account, and are tied to a random identifier the app generates for itself. It is not your Android ID and not an advertising ID.
Reminder text cannot reach these events even by accident. The code accepts only numbers, true/false, and short plain keywords with no spaces — anything else is discarded before sending, so a reminder title could not be transmitted even if some future bug tried to attach one.

That is the complete list. Minda requests no access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or calendar.
Who else is involved

There is no advertising network, no analytics provider and no crash reporting service. Minda ships eleven code libraries in total and none of them is a tracker.
How long things are kept
- On your phone: until you delete the reminder, reset the app, or uninstall it.
- In your account: until you delete it. Deletion is immediate; routine encrypted backups age out within 30 days.
- Usage counts: kept as anonymous totals. Deleting your account permanently removes any link between them and you.
Your choices
- Do not sign in. The app is fully functional without an account, and nothing about you reaches us beyond the anonymous counts.
- Delete your account — in the app under Profile → Settings → Start Over → Delete Account, or without the app if you have already uninstalled.
- Export your data at any time from Settings → Export backup, as a plain JSON file you keep.
- Turn off Android's backup in Android Settings, as above.
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to its processing. The export and delete options above do the first three immediately; for anything else, email us and we will answer within 30 days.
Children
Minda is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top changes and the new version appears here before the change takes effect.
